Fauna becomes an organic record label!

For our first release FAU001 we present you with an organic & handcrafted 7 inch vinyl single with our favorite Gothenburg experience - Fontän

We are honored that Fontän gave us the opportunity to release their new track called ’Serpentines’. The name of the song is referring to their countless hours spent on the lingering roads of Buthan.

The vinyl will be pressed with an organic hemp label and with the waste of vinylpressings, which will result in a unique look of every copy. The cover will be screenprinted on organic hemp sleeves and numbered manually by us. The idea is to produce locally and to (not) produce new plastics to realize this release and to leave (no toxic trace) that will effect our flora in a negative way.

For those of you who are not familiar with Fontän:

Fontän is a neo psychedelic band and a non-conventional cross over act.
Mind altering, lengthy numbers is a live trademark which they’ve been practicing to perfection during the last decade. Fontän represent the essence of The Psychedelic Experience of Gothenburg.

Following their acclaimed 2009 debut album “Winterhwhila”, band members Johan Melin and Jesper Jarold needed a break from touring and performing. Instead, they accepted an invitation to Bhutan, a South Asian country hidden in the Himalayas, a country that admits very few, if any, outsiders. The duo was allowed to travel freely within the country to meet and record local artists and explore local instruments. All set against an amazing scenery and breathtaking travel routes. From remotely located monasteries on the Himalayan high peaks to the southern jungle huts on the border to India. A very unique opportunity that has shaped their work and mind ever since.
